A member of our steam crew oiling things between runs. This was the "Santa's Workshop" train in Dec 2014.

Color shot
B&W shot

On 2 & 3 I used the Dragan Effect PP technique.

Thanks
Actually that is the VC2 - a Prairie Class 2-6-2, think of it as a large shuttle engine or a small road engine.

Wasn't he supposed to be wearing Elvin green for the event?

The shot, and renditions, could be from the mid 1930s up through the late 1950s, easily. Great portrait work.

Stunning images Robert !!! Love all three, but leaning towards the B&W as a favorite.

That was the car attendants, asst conductors and the Ops Sup (he had a costume called "Jingles the Elf". The attendants and asst conductors (my daughter was one of those) were wearing Santa hats in green or red.

Thanks. I gave the steam crew about six different 8x10 and 8.5x11 prints of different versions to pass on to the man. On that particular day I was a conductor for one or two runs and a pest (photographer) the rest of the day.

Thank you very much. I actually have at least 10 variations in color and B&W with tints etc. I had two frames to work from in one his head is tilted a bit and in the other no tilt, I favor the tilt.
