I just wanted to say a quick hello...
My passion for photography was recently rekindled after a long hiatus for family and career. A lot has changed while I was away and I can't get over how creatively liberating it has been to find myself in a world of digital photography. Finally I have the time to really study the medium and the resources to do so with the best equipment. My focus was initially on high quality macro but over the last couple of years I have been dabbling in numerous other genres and am really starting to love landscapes. It is humbling to realize just how little I actually know about capturing images the way I see them in my head. But, as a lifelong learner, a scientist, and an educator, the challenge to improve my art is tremendously exciting.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the posts and admiring the images posted on this site and I look forward to interacting with the members of this talented group of photographers.
