Have done a few panos and want to try doing one in HDR, wondering what work flow you use. Convert to three panos and then convert to HDR, or convert each frame to HDR then merge frames to a pano? Thanks
I take the imported RAW files in Lightroom and apply the File/Photo Merge/Panorama tool, making sure to move the boundary layer slider to the right, then straighten and crop as necessary. After completion, I transfer to Photoshop and use Topaz Adjust to bring our hidden tones and textures.
If you are doing bracketed images for HDR and then the Panorama, you would merge to HDR first, then Merge to Panorama.

I would suggest converting to panos first and then do the HDR. If you do the HDR first it leaves room for differences between shots which when combined into the pano can cause havoc.

I agree. Much more consistency if you stitch first.
I'm on the side of doing the hdr first and then stitching. All you have to do to keep consistency is make sure that you right down the exact data that you used on the first hdr and then duplicate it exactly in each subsequent hdr image.
If you do it the other way around you run the risk of not being able to do true hdr because if you aren't verly careful the bracketed shots won't line up well enough to complete your hdr image. Also working with smaller images seems easier to me for completing an hdr image.
