Nice Going madmike, I was thinking of getting a link started, but this works just a well, hope it keeps going.
HDR has intrigued me since I first heard of it earlier this year. It's been hard to find anyone who is knowledgeable on the subject and I have talked with some pro's who are reluctant to enter the field because of the work involved in creating the images.
One of my favorite images is from a series of 3 photos, bracketed at +2, 0, -2 at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum near Superior, AZ. My camera is the Canon SX40 and equipped with a UV filter (for safety reasons).
I am using Fusion 2.2 for HDR processing and Photoshop Elements 10 for post processing. I am still looking for the optimum HDR processing software and am interested to know what others are using.
The attached photos show the +2, -2 and the resultant HDR

Boyce Thompson Arboretum (overexposed)
Boyce Thompson Arboretum (HDR)
a bit too much for my taste.
Thanks, I hope this will give us all somewhere to learn, and create works of art. I'm always amazed how overshadowed areas are eliminated, and so much detail comes out. Right now I use PAINTSHOP PRO 4 to process my HDR's, and actually use FASTSTONE to PP. Keep posting, and we'll have a great forum here.

Guess you had to be there.
Hello,
I currently use Photomatix and Nik's HDR Efex Pro. I found photomatix great for landscapes and Nik's works well for architecture. I have posted 4 images in this forum today; one B&W and three color and they were all processed with HDR Efex Pro.

If you could only get one of these, which one would you choose. Photomatix or Nik's HDR Efex Pro? I'm considering getting one of them and want one that works with Photoshop & Lightroom.
I went with Photomatix first and worked with that for a while and then I bought Nik's. I still go back and forth with both of them and there really is no rhyme or reason. Photomatix has a free trial version that never expires but they put a watermark on the image you are processing. Nik also has a free trial version and it expires in 15 days. Try both of them out and see what you like better. Both of them work in LR and Photoshop.
