I have often caught fleeting glimpses of them but this is the first time I have been lucky enough to get a photo. As luck would have it, he is the alpha male (the hens are fairly plain looking). Just curious, but you' re not far from Brisbane-- which isn't really all that bushy. From what I've read this bird comes from SE Asia, and it would be appear he would be more at home in the Northern Territories.
