Welcome to Day 202 :) Hey y'all I have to apologize. We had a death in the family .. auto accident. My best friend in the world is gone.... and I just can't think straight enough to even search my archives. I don't know how much I will be around in the next few days .. I'm sorry.
Today is supposed to be about Special Events ... I have no examples...I can't even promise to take a look at yours... but I wanted to post the day regardless. Don't forget to tell those closest to you how you feel about them... before it's too late.

I am so sorry Sherrie- know my thoughts are with you and maybe the challenge should just wait til you can return unless someone wants to step in for you and you don't mind them doing so. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. We are never ready for that to happen to our friends and family. I agree we NEED TO TELL them before it is too late.
Christmas 2011 at my house. We love to have fun.
Our grandson's graduation to middle school
Our 25th Anniversary Clown Wedding. My husband that is a professional clown wrote our vows. We had a great time.

OH my gosh Sherrie... how could any simple words put that in perspective.. I am sorry and completely understand as I am positive the rest of the gang will too.. wish we could all be there shoulder to shoulder..

Oh how sad...no one is ever prepared to lose a loved one. Even if they are sick and you know impending death is coming. Still, we are never ready, never prepared, how sad and I will pray for you and that God gives you the strength you need to get through this terrible time. Just know we all care about you. :-(

So Sorry about your friend. I hope that you can force yourself to think about the wonderful memories of friendship and help the family to do the same. I'm sure that's what your friend would have wanted you to do.......

All I can offer is that in time you will be able to find joy in the memories of all the time you had to share with your dear friend.
In your honor and your friends I will post a picture of a man I have known and loved since I was 14 and who lost the battle with Cancer about three Novembers ago, at age 53. His wife is also a dear friend of mine. The four of us had traveled together to Jamaica where this photo was taken...sorry for the quality it was scanned from film. Joe is still a very large presence in our lives even though he is gone from this earth.
I hope your friend can remain a presence in your life as there is great comfort in that.
