For those who love squirrels, you may want to look away.
Momma fox bringing home the bacon and getting Junior to learn how to hold the prey.
(Needs to work the "neck end" vs the **ahem** posterior....gonna get teased if the siblings see him...looks like Mom is whispering in his ear "Um , son. the OTHER end")
My wife took these ones. Left for work and set the camera to 1/1600, F6.3, Auto ISO....told her to use it like a P&S. Center AF pt.
Happy Hunting Honey!
(A little camera shake ...my fault...1/2000 to 1/2500 for a newbie @600m.
I can hand hold down below 1/1000 but need a monopod to get to 1/100 @600mm
....sloooowly setting the GAS hook in her for that 600mm F4 L IS...only $12K
She did a fine job. Good catches
Nice job! The little kit is adorable!
I love my neighborhood squirrels but that's the way nature works.
Nice animal behavior shots.
Great images of a special moment and interaction between the mother and her kit. Not so great for the squirrel though, but he was on the menu of the day. We don't have squirrels that large or dark in color around here so that too was interesting to see him too.
Wonderful nature shots. She is welcome at my house at any time.
