Managed to get the momma and a couple shots of 2 of the 7 babies.
Momma shot was quick and then she was gone. Didnt have time to get the 3rd one off more tightly zoomed as she heard the first shot, Immediately perked, stared me down and was gone.
This fox can hear the sound of my shutter inside the house through a window from 60yds away!
The first photo is heavily cropped @85%, 302mm, 1/100, hand held, iso1600 F5.6 (5dmkiv/SigmaC 150-600mm)
2nd/3rd are lightly cropped at 600mm 1/400 f6.3 hand held.
Yesterday, my wife saw all 7 babies out with both parents tightly grouped. 1 of the parents had a bunny in its mouth.
....having been told the story, camera lessons ensued for my wife under much duress...
not too hopeful that I will see a pic versus just the story next time...

Got 5. NOt great shots 'though.
Need to get into the neighbours backyard under a tarp and snipe them without hedges in the way.
..or perhaps this obsession with shooting the foxes needs a little cooling off period.
Back to work tomorrow, that should do it...
