Trying to decide what is a really good card for my new camera. Is the SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB SDXC UHS-I Card (SDSDXXG-128G-GN4IN) what I should use?

Any SanDisk Extreme Pro will be a good card for your camera, but unless you're planning on shooting the bejeezes out of your camera the next couple of days, you do not need 128GB, an 8, or 16Gb card will be just fine!

Usually when I go out to shoot wildlife, I shoot several hundred. I just want the #1 card to be large the other will be 16GB

I won't put that many images on one card. I use four 8Gb and two 16Gb cards. I spread them out just in case a card goes bad, gets lost, or becomes damaged.

You have two card slots use them both and smaller cards. Not good to have all the eggs in one basket.

Any card that Nikon has tested and approved (see your user’s manual) will be good for your camera.

I like the idea of one *smaller* card and one larger. I use them the same, meaning one is the main and the secondary is a copy of the main. Sometimes, tho, I'll be working many different shoots/subjects and find it handy to "let it ride" on the big card while changing out the primary. So, nowadays i'm using a 32 or a 64 as primarys and a 128 as secondary when shooting the pageantry/high volume work (my *fast* cards are 32 GB and above), sometimes grouping 2 or three different shoots on that big card. Not really that risky, as I back up twice while loading the primary into LR. All my cards are top grade, and, yes, I've had failures, but my system has compensated...

I usually use 32gb or 64 gb cards. I shoot a lot of sports and in a game, match, meet, etc I easily fill a 32gb card. I use slot 1 as primary and slot 2 as overflow. I have often filled card 1.

I know it is not popular, but I use a card that approximates 2 rolls of film when shot in RAW. This is a carry over of the old days, where if I lost a roll of film, it was only one roll, and not the entire shoot. Thus I still use cards that approximate 2 rolls of film, because I have had mishaps with cards. Drop them in water, lose them, Card fails, etc. S### will happen. Have spent too much time trying to retrieve images from a bad card.

I use a 64GB in slot 1 and 128GB in slot 2. Shooting RAW with overflow to slot 2 and video to slot 2. Just started getting into using my D7200 for video.

I would do the opposite on your card selection. Put the 16Gb card in your primary slot and the 128Gb card in the secondary slot. Even a couple hundred shots should fit on your 16Gb card. I have the same camera and put 2 64Gb cards in it and never gets to the 2nd card.
