Think it is a video lens.

Since it has Arri in the description I would guess it mounts to an Arriflex movie camera. The price also makes me think it is for a pro film movie camera.

Yes, definitely for an Arriflex. However, don’t know if this lens is for their 16mm or 35mm cameras.

The ARRI Ultra Prime 28mm T1.9 is a PL-mounted [video] prime lens that covers the Super-35 format. The 28mm is a wider entry in the comprehensive array of Ultra Prime focal lengths from 8mm to 180mm. The Ultra Primes provide a compact, lightweight, optically-matched complement to the higher-speed ARRI Master Prime series. Compatible with both HD and film cameras, the Ultra Primes are color matched to each other and to the rest of the ARRI lens spectrum.
............Ibid.

I have heard that with an adapter it can be used by regular Dslr or mirrorless, true?
Does it come in Zoom Lens and some cheaper versions by other manufacturers?
Do the match up of a cinema lens system a higher quality level to the high ends Dslr?

And you would pay $14,000 to do that?

Super 35mm. It's in the description on the website.

Don't know of an adapter for the PL mount to any DSLR. But, if it's a video lens you want for your camera, consider that the Canon EF mount is another standard that is widely used. The Canons are generally "L" versions, have the same build (oversized and video-industry-standard filter sizes), click-less "T" stops, and gearing for pulling focus. Oh, and the same price ranges as the Zeiss, with zooms usually going 30 to 40 thou each. Even the "cheap" (but good) Rokinons, etc., are much more expensive than the still camera versions.

Nice thought, but an expensive solution to a perhaps nonexistent problem.

For the stated price, which is more than my entire photographic arsenal is worth, what it fits is entirely irrelevant to me.

Actually, it'll fit any (movie) camera with a PL-Mount (similar to the C-Mount standard, except partially "automated").

The 14, 20, 100 and the 180mm are even more expensive.
