Curtis Combo Kit

Has anyone had this kit? Was available in the 70s-80s. Used on Canon AE-1P, Mamiya 645. Trying to retrofit this to my new Canon Rebel T6. Have an adapter ring for the kit with 58mm threads which fit the Rebel. But when tray fully inserted in it is to close to the lens (needs to be extended out from lens). If I slide the tray out to second slot of mask works great. But then if you move too many times a certain way the tray falls out of the holder. So I need about a 1 to 2 inch extender or tube with the 58mm female threads on one end and male on the other end to complete the good fit onto camera lens. Do they make such an extender or anyone know of a place I can inquire about this issue?
Have the EF-S 18-55mm lens and EF 75-300 zoom. With the 18-55 lens does not seem to interference with vignetteing the outer corners. But possibly will with the 75-300 zoom. Just possibly trying to save a buck or two, would it be best to just get a new system for holding filters and mask?
Any reply greatly appreciated
Bob

This would work. Mine is 30mm long:

If you can find a bunch of old 58mm filters cheap you could remove the glass and stack them to whatever length you need. Or, you might find some suitable tubing and epoxy filter rings on each end. Heliopan is the only hood I know of that has the same size threads on both ends. They also make a short one, so they can be stacked. They’re not cheap, but would make for a cleaner looking setup.

I like the find some suitable tubing and epoxy filter rings on each end, that would be very feasible for me and would be solid fit. One problem having with this as is now is Kit must be locked down in perfect position. As to say 90 degrees is 90 degrees with camera body.
Thanks for the suggestion, will probably try this first.
