Thanks David. We did that one about 6 years ago! Loved it.

Thanks Ken. I used a Canon 60D with a Tamron 18-270. That’s it (except for charger, extra battery and cards). I always travel light—no extra lenses, no tripod, no external flash. By far, most photos are taken off the ship while visiting the villages, towns and cities. You are touring with a group and there is very little time to set up, use a tripod or change lenses. I use a comfortable strap (optech) which distributes the weight and allows for the camera to glide up to my eye. I try to compose the shot as quickly as possible and usually take multiple shots of the same scene, from slightly different angles. I charge my battery every night and change batteries at the same time. I find that most shots are taken at the wider end of the lens, but find the extra reach helpful. This is a fairly slow lens, and I do miss some interior and night shots. That’s it. Sounds like a great trip. Enjoy!

How was the cruise ? Any comments as to it; was worthwhile? I've been eyeing a Viking cruise for a while, worried that the commercials on PBS are too good to be true.
I have been on at least 5 Viking cruises and they are terrific and live up to the ads
These shots are absolutely amazing! After seeing these, I don’t see how anyone could complain about post processing. It’s vital to bring out the best in any photo, and you did an outstanding job!
These photos are fantastic in tone, color, pov.
We will take a Viking River cruise this August from Budapest to Bucharest and am inspired by your photos.
Any chance of seeing sets 1 & 2 ?
