Picked up a new lens - Takumar 50mm f/1.4. I don't have the M42 adapter yet.
Was tempted to try this lens while waiting for it. Just held the lens in front of the camera!.
Shot these at f/1.4

Hope you like these.

How about that! I don't know if the dreamy effect is from the lens itself or your holding it, Sundar, but I love the beautiful results!

It will be interesting to see the results you get using the adapter.

Ingenuity gets the shot! I really like these but it should be safer and easier when you get your adapter!

Thanks Carol ! Agree with you 100% on safety and ease of use.
It was not easy without the adapter.

Thank you very much merrytexan.

As for adapters - it helps to attach and use lenses that were made for other mounts. I shoot with a Sony NEX6. It is a mirrorless camera. Which means it does not have the mirror box found in DSLRs. This makes it possible to use these cameras with lenses of other mounts - (Yes ! all those old lenses - Nikon/Canon/Minolta etc.) - if an adapter is available.

Hope this helps !
