I'm sometimes given to wondering why seedy hotel owners in the US seem to be partial to naming their businesses after English Stately Homes?

Maybe it might have to do with being on the "Fitz-" side of the family? Or a transplanted Canuck (or "Snowbird") from Ontario?

Its interesting that you chose to abandon conventional composition by the bisection in this one. I keep wanting to embrace it to the right, where the richness of the foreground carries through, but the split asks me to choose. Might just be me.

Hi, fergmark. Actually if one views the vertical sign as the main topic of the photograph, that is somewhat classically placed along a vertical line close to 1/3 from the left of the photo. Thanks for looking and commenting.

Very nice Bob. Great B&W treatment. Tack sharp even in the double-download. I think I can count the bricks.
