AzPicLady Loc: Behind the camera!

Yesterday I went to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum to try out some things: Like carrying two cameras on the Cotton Carrier I bought a couple of years ago and had never used; like perhaps trying my hand at some bird shots; etc. I found myself working on isolated subjects. That was totally unintentional. But let me know how you think I did, OK?

These have a bit of LR processing: Clarity, some exposure adjustment, contrast, standard sharpening. All from RAW images.

Oh, and by the way, the Cotton Carrier is fine, but carrying both cameras and my HEAVY 28-300 really slowed me down. Not sure if I can do it all day as I had planned. But at least the cameras weren't hanging on my neck. I do with the Carrier came with a water bottle holder, though.

And the bird shot? This will tell all you great birders why I don't shoot birds!

Kathy great series. I like my Cotton Carrier also. I even use it with my 200-500 lens. Each one of your images have a unique character. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Stan. I did find a problem with the Carrier. I had my big camera with the 28-300 on the chest hook. Because of the small pouch beneath the catch, the camera wouldn't turn completely down, so it hung at an angle. I guess that doesn't matter too much.

And by the way, there are a couple of straps hanging from the shoulder straps. What are they for?

Thank you, Angela. It's an aloe. There are lots of varieties, and I can never remember which is which.

Kathy, I enjoyed your pictures. As to your question as to whether you should crop the one picture, I believe I would have-but- it is probably unimportant, as what catches my eye is the clarity of the main blossom and the bokeh behind it, that is just outstanding, I only thought about the crop because you asked.

Thank you, Terry. Yes, I too was drawn to the bokeh. I do appreciate your voicing your opinion.

All just beautiful, Kathy, and I would leave the buds in #5. The lighting in all is dramatic and beautiful.

Thank you, Donna. It seems I made the right decision. The light was really nice yesterday.
