File naming sequence

That is how I have mine set up. My alpha prefix is set in camera. To my understanding, new folders, formats, etc. restart my sequence at 001. The menu item states, File Number Sequence, which I have set to OFF. When I format the card, in camera, the first image taken after that is numbered 001.

Thanks Bob, I read those settings and I think the answer to my question is NO, I cannot simply restart the numbering sequence. I would not want it to reset every time there is a new folder or I reformat a card or insert a new card.
