I am taking photos of cell phone cases with my D7000. I am using a white background. However, the results show a background that is blueish (sp?). I am editing using Photoshop Elements 15. I have tried the same kind of photographs with cell phones and get the same results. Is there a simple way to get my background white? Any advice is appreciated.

By the way, I took these outdoors in the shade.

Easy enough.

Select the white, change the color balance ONLY on the (white) background and since you are at it, make sure the final result is straight.

If is a white balance issue. White isn't white depending on what light is reflected into it.
Post processing is the answer. You can whiten up in Photoshop etc.

I guess that is one thing I don't know how to do...just white balance the background. When I have tried white balance before, it influences the color of the case (cherry wood). I do plan to straighten the final result. It is something I will do later. Thanks for your advice.

That is why I am mentioned select the white background. You likely have tools similar to PS CC to select a color. Use that.

Create a copy of the Background layer and select it so its your working layer.
Select the cell phone only.
Reverse the selection so the white is active.
Work on the white to make it white. You could use Enhance to convert it to B&W for example.

The cell phone portion won't be affected.

Thanks! I will see if I can figure that out. I have nearly 50 different photos to work on. Once I get the process down for 1 photo, it should be easier for the rest. Should I do this kind of editing in PSCC or PS Elements? Is one easier than the other?

If this is the only one, here is the correction. If you have more, learn how to do this.

(I cheated on the process)
I created a group
then a level adjustment layer
Pushed the red and the green to the dark
I was left with a yellow image.
I selected the well delimited yellow (color selection)
Used that to create a mask on the group
Used the paint bucket - Tolerance 12 - (after selecting the background color on the left side)
Used the brush tool to correct small issues left.
Done.

Simply move the phone case further away from the background so that the background receives more light and might possibly be less focused.

Wouldn't it have been easier to use the "pen" tool and cut and past it to a white background? The crop looks rugged.

I do studio product photography and a simple solution for the shadows would be to use a reflector board and bounce light on the ceiling from a flash.
