I was a guest myself...

I am not sure what the photographer was trying to do but she lined up the groom family and extended family for a shot. I quickly took a few shots to stitch later... Much later as I am just getting to it!!!

Very nice, a perfect solution to a large group photo! What focal length did you use?

Terrible shot. Legs cut off. People looking all different directions. Not sharp. People not posed or arranged.

Geez, it's a candid shot not done by a professional. Have you ever tried to pose that many people in one photograph and have them all listen to you? And what rule says all legs must be in the picture.

I did not pose these folks and I did an off the cuff panorama capture. So cut feet? Moving people? Sorry, this was and is the least of my concern.

What I am concerned about is abc1234. This is the second negative post in my two last posts.

I can take criticism, that is not a problem but I would like to know WHERE they are coming from and right now I have no clue.

Can you accept that this is just a coincidence?

It's a fun picture and shows no distortion at the edges. An excellent illustration of how to use a stitched pano to shoot a large group - in this case, 35 people. It is a good source of inspiration to others who might want to try doing this, and a much better alternative to an ultra-wide lens.

I think ABC1234 may have missed the point of your post. It's important to keep in mind that many of the images here are illustration in nature, to highlight a specific technique or style, and not to be necessarily commented on for image quality. That's what the Gallery and For Your Consideration forums are for.
