I would rather see a clear focus in the background. Just my taste and opinion. I'm not much for hazy backgrounds and bokeh. A lot of times there can be important details in the background that add to the story.

Thanks dragonfist. A clear focus would maybe work as well and I can understand your thoughts. Most everyone will have different tastes, likes and dislikes. Variety can be unique, but in the case of this image, the shallow depth of field was important to me in order to pin point the main subject, which happens to be the two ladies to the right of the image, especially the one with the huge rose tattoo in the center of her back, hence the title, ‘Subtle Rose’.
