These are fine shots, Linda. Hard to pick a favorite, but I kinda like your No.10 pachyderm "packing-it-in" for the day. Good job.

Thanks for looking in, cameraf4, so glad you enjoyed this little one as much as I did.

I understand how you feel. Perhaps one day you, too, will experience the joy of safari. Until then....I am happy to share.

Ohhh, be still my heart...

I do wonder, though, why that momma is so thin. Surely not a good sign (**tears**)...

EllieLady...
Seeing her was of great concern to me, as well. This family lives in Samburu and it was very dry when these photos were taken, making food difficult to find. As we moved through other, wetter areas, we definitely noticed how much fatter other families were. In my next posting, I will show you Elephant joy when the rain finally falls.

what an enjoyable series! I,too, love the elephants. they are so smart. Your images are well taken-I can only imagine the joy of being so close to them. I love how you got the giraffes in the same shot as the elephants.

Thanks, Carlysue, my heart was bursting with each encounter. The giraffes were in that capture because everyone was heading to the river for happy hour! I guess we were at a merging spot because a few hundred yards on we found the giraffes walking along in single file. πŸ¦’πŸ¦’πŸ¦’

Shove it to the top of your bucket list, Doc, it isn’t like anything you have ever encountered.

Well, either she's ill (we can hope not), or the food shortage has stunted her healthy recovery following childbirth. We can but send her some healthy, positive healing energy...
