Does anyone here have one of these and specifically any smaller framed women? I am going to try it out and was just wondering how you liked it. I'm sure it will take some getting used to, but should come in handy for hiking and sightseeing.

I have one and I love it. My neck and upper back love it. In the winter the fit is great but in the summer it's a bit loose. I'm still playing with ways to cinch it down--but even loose it's better than a heavy camera on a neck strap. I hope you'll like it.

I have two. They are fantastic. It's especially helpful when you are hiking and you need to use both of your hands to negotiate the trail.
Angels Landing in Zion was a perfect example.

I love my Cotton Carrier. I have mine set up for two cameras. One on chest and other on the belt. Nothing but positives with the product.

Does your camera feel safely secured? I've been known to climb up a big rock, or down a hill, and don't want to worry about camera damage. Going to try it all out tomorrow, as it just arrived this evening.

The camera can not be released as it goes on one way and off another way. I also added this to my Cotton Carrier.

It is amazing with my 200 MM lens and my 200-500

I ride my mountain bike with it. Very secure.

I had one but I noticed when hiking I couldn't see my feet. In rough terrain it was precarious.

A female friend of mine - 5'1" and about 100 lbs - has one, and she loves it.

My wife and I both have Cotton Carriers, and have hiked & rock climbed in the Black Hills. We loved having both hands free while keeping our cameras secure. They're a great system.

I have both the vest version and the Strapshot version. The Strapshot version allows you to hang the camera on the shoulder strap of your backpack. If you carry a backpack, I think this is preferable to the vest version. If you are not carrying a backpack, the vest is the way to go.

I do one thing differently, though. All the Cotton Carrier stuff comes with a lanyard that you can use to attach your camera to the vest/backpack, as a failsafe. I skip that, and just use my normal camera strap around my neck, as my failsafe. This works better, for me, than the lanyard does, especially with the backpack. Were I to use the lanyard, the camera is attached to the back. If I want to take off my pack, where do I put my camera, while taking the pack off? I'd have to hold the camera while removing the pack. During that brief time, there is no failsafe, and the hill I'm on has couple hundred feet drop. With the usual camera strap, I can let the camera hang around my neck, while both hands are free to remove the pack. Just my way of doing things.

Thanks to all for your assurance that it will be a great thing. I've considered it for several years. So I have already jumped in now, and have the vest. It will definitely be a learning curve, I'm sure by this summer I will be used to it. The good thing is when my husband is with me, he will carry my pack. And this time, I will let him........

Actually, we wore the Cotton Carrier vests along with Camelback backpacks (containing water, a few lenses and snacks), and had no problems wearing both.

How does the strap shot compare to Peak Design, Spyder etc. I’m thinking of getting one of these for my backpack.
