Would like feedback on Roberts Camera. I am looking at a nikon 55-300mm af-s vr lens at what seems a reasonable price.

I've only used them once - bought a used Canon 300 f4L prime lens from them. The lens was exactly as described and I paid what I felt was a fair price. I'm sure others will chime in who have had more experience. Also, you can click the Search link above and search "Roberts Camera" and get many threads on them.

Roberts is a family owned business in Indianapolis with a branch store north of the city. I will travel 180 miles to their store instead of closer stores.
They are top notch with their sales, service, advice, and knowledge. I wouldn't hesitate recommending them.

Roberts is the B&H of Indiana (tho they might insist B&H is the Roberts of NYC).

In 1979, I purchased my first SLR from them at their store which was 'on The Circle' at the time. I purchased a lens from them in 1995. I have made several purchases from them via the Internet in recent years. They remain good people over several generations.

I've bought quite a bit from Robert's. Shortly after buying a D750, Nikon dropped the price $300. Robert's refunded me the difference.
