I'd like to present some exciting moments from today's Gull Winter Olympics.

A serious attempt was made on the Iced Fish Lift & Swallow World Record... after showing great technique on the Lift, the young contender ran out of ideas on the Swallow, and... after a few uncomfortable minutes, was forced to admit defeat.

Well the trial here was to make something out of a bland cloud mode in low light. The lighting is something that I have never seen before and I worked on this ''project'' often. Yes there is movement but my priority was capturing the colours of lights. Don't know if it fits here tho.................thanks for your Challenge, Judy.

It's hard to take great pictures at night, for sure, Jim! I find a lot of times they end up seedy, not in focus...I've dumped many! Yours are an interesting capture and quite clear for the time of day and still show

light effects and color! Great job!

Here's one I took night before last! The street light in front of our home during the sizable snow storm. I'm always interested in trying to capture the action of a storm.

I enjoyed your explanations and so here is one that probably corresponds.

Naturally photos with stories are even more appreciated so with that said....Here I go

Several weeks ago the Etchemin River had a jam at the mouth and it went down and caused minor floodong and now with warmer temps I am down there about every two days, freezing rain coming in for tomorrow and Wednesday...I'll be there

In this photo I put the horizon in the middle, there are three subjects, and three DOFs and I included the tree as a colour sublect to break up the dullness of the two others. you will notice the bark on the tree is gone and that is due to the icerubbong it and the wood there is almost as smooth as a dining room table top. That ice block is a good 10 feet high. So far I have well over 150 shots done there and have been back often
