Just saw the new version of the Adobe Creative Cloud products hit the app this afternoon.... downloaded Photoshop and Lightroom Classic CC but have not taken a good look at them yet.

I will wait to see if any of you early adopters run into any problems before I install the updates but the performance enhancements will be welcome.

FWIW: install went without any hiccups, as usual (I have never really had an issue upgrading with CC.)

Initial loading seems slightly faster

I have yet to import or do much editing yet, importing and batch operations supposedly are faster now

You can now filter on edited/unedited.

Handy! I used to rely on star ratings to do that sort of

Install was fast. Only had time to open LR CC Classic and poke around a folder I shot the other day but haven't looked at. scrolled through the images fast. Didn't develop or export.

Is Lightroom Classic and Lightroom 2 the same thing, if not could somebody that uses Lightroom 2 please contact me, I'd just like to know that I'm not alone...Julian

Lightroom Classic CC is a new product, Lightroom 2 is at least 10 years old.

I’m using LR6 and holding out as long as I can before paying the monthly scrip
I use Elements for anything I can’t do in LR

I installed and played a little with them but don't have an opinion yet. I don't use the new Lightroom CC for anything but my cell. I stick with Lightroom Classic for the computer and my DSLR's. but, that's just me. Note: I also found that the newer version of LR Classic doesn't seem to lockup or have issues. The previous version randomly ignored or failed to load correctly if the graphics processor was enabled in the program. This was only an issue in the previous 2 upgrades and now seems to be working correctly and faster again after the most recent upgrade.

Don,
I installed the update yesterday. It installed fast with no issues. I do find it loads a bit faster when opening.

FWIW - Filtering on Unedited can be a handy filter for sure, however if used to determine which images to edit and you go into the develop module on one of the filtered "unedited" images, Lightroom changes the image to "edited" at that point and you lose that image in the develop module since LR assumes it has now been edited, so it is filtered out actually prior to any changes being made.
