Apparently you did not read that these were taken at a zoo. I believe when vets clean teeth on animals that might bite, they put them under. The small shaved spot was probably for the anesthetic.
Six posts above yours, Hassig ....
These Mexican Wolves certainly are beautiful, SharonAnn ...
It's actually kinda scary ... we look at them here in a zoo environment ....
But, in the wild ... all wolves are vicious animals ....

Excellent shots,
Have been a member of the zoo for many years... Great zoo
Larry,
Thanks for the Thumbs up, Zoo membership is a good thing, on the cold days or rainy days you can sometimes get to learn from the volunteers or keepers.

Great captures. I wont have to go now. Ill just sit back and enjoy your photos.
Mike, I looked at your photos first then had to read about them. At first my impression was that you shot these wolves in the wilderness. I don't wee any indication of human structures (which is good!). The wolves don't look very intimidating or dangerous, perhaps that is because they are being fed by the zookeepers and are never really hungry?!
Really nice photos. Everything seems to be spot on and I can't really complain about any of the shots........only say good things about them! Thanks for posting these Mike.
I love the way WOlfs are not afraid to make eye contact with humans. They are telling you that you are not a threat.
These are really fantastic, Mike! Excellent images!

Brent,
Thank you for your reponse, I missed a couple oppurtunities where teeth were bared once over a bone, and another the Alpha Male got a little too close to the Alpha Females tail.
The snow does help hide the fact that the wolfs are in an enclosure.
If you had opinion on something different I would like to hear.

Mike
