I like this immensely. The colors are exquisite. If I had my choice I would have moved over or taken the stick out. I don't this it add anything. Just me expressing my thoughts I'm certainly not the best judge for composition.

Thank you. The "stick" was actually a tree that had been uprooted from the shore and was the only thing that could safely support the crystal ball without me holding it. It was an experiment on my part. But, I understand what you mean and I appreciate your thought. Feedback is an important part of my learning.

This one is interesting Dale. You posted this a year ago and I suggested to remove the stick. Now as time has passed and a few hundred photos under my belt I disagree with my last post. I think the tree adds a secondary element to the photo and now has more interest to me. I do have a new question. Did you shoot this with a lensBaby and if you did how? I see the ball is quite sharp not a soft focus. Is it two merged photos?

The crystal was a gift, so I do not know the brand. The photo is basically SOC, perhaps a bit of sharpening, but I don't remember for certain. Again, I don't remember, but I suspect that I used the kit lens.
