Robert, my very favorite position to shoot surfers is from the Huntington Beach CA pier. You are up above them shooting down. It's much better than being on the beach and being so far away too! Thanks for your comment about great action shots!

Hey flbeachgirl, long time, no contact! Welcome back to the group! Thank you for the very nice compliment but to be doing this for money always seems to limit my creativity. If I were being paid there is usually someone telling you what to shoot and how to shoot. Right now I am FREE to do whatever I want with no pressure!

To answer your question.........YES, I am a surfer dude! I have been surfing since jr. high school. Right now I am recovering from a shoulder replacement and have not been in the water for a while. I miss it! This is my opportunity to photograph other surfers.

Doc, I don't know if she was ever in a post I did in the past or not. I have photographed several surfing contests and she might have been in those photos. The cream always rises to the top and the best surfers are usually in the contests. Thanks Doc for saying my shots are amazing, I appreciate that.
