White Balance Examples

For those of you new to white balance and wonder what effects different settings may have on an image, here is a nice set of examples to peruse:

Or what each setting looks like on an actual Daylight image. WB filters when applied to the proper condition should yield a normal looking color balance - that is kind of the point. Oh, and they are called Kelvin(s), no units or degrees.

If you want to see truly interesting effects, convert the image to BW and play with WB. You may be surprised.

One just has to turn on the camera and look at the LCD, and set all the presets! He/she then can just watch it right there on the screen!

That is very true!
But the examples show what the settings would look like without them having to go through the steps.
Slightly simpler, and they can pursue further experimentation if they like.
