Would like some pro advice photographing gates

Just be careful of excessive vertical distortion if you get too close with a wide angle. The distortion will inject another conflict as part of your composition.

I can appreciate how that might happen based on Kymarto’s first image. I can fix some distortion inLR and PS. My wife (client) might have problems with odd angles but I see this approach being helpful with bad backgrounds,etc.. Plus I get to snap on a cool 15 or 20mm just to see what I get. Unlike cats or kids, gates are cooperative in this regard!
