4K video is a game changer. That's one of the reasons I bought the Coolpix B700 for Christmas.

Have You recorded yerself and Bruce with that B700 ?...yeah I had a sneek-peak of your recordings , You play guitar and keyboards ,I must say , and some nice harmonious singing too.

I have a huawei mate ten which sports 4k video , but pitching that against a Sony Cine Alta...I do n`t know...

Thank you Novicus. I'm working on a song now, a cover of "When You Walk In The Room" by the Searchers. Bruce uses a Nikon D5000. He sends me a video and sound tracks and I add my part and edit it all together (or vice versa). I'm going to use the B700 in 4K on my part of the new song. It will probably be on Youtube in a few weeks.
It will be interesting to see what the smaller sensor and lens will do. I'm guessing there will be more depth of field. Probably less brilliant less saturated color which I'll fix in post. I have noticed that stills taken with the B700 need a little extra brilliance and saturation added in Photoshop.
On my last video, Have You Seen The Rain, with the acoustic guitar, I used my Nikon D7000 with the Sigma 15-30mm zoom and shot it in 1080P. My Zoom R16 recorder malfunctioned so the sound was just what was recorded on the D7000 internal mic.
At $32K for the camera and another $8-12K for lenses, the Sony Cine Alta better outperform a cell phone!

Just put our latest jam up on Youtube. The left half of the screen was shot in 480P by my friend,
but the right half of the screen is shot in 4K on the Coolpix B700. Video was edited and exported in 4K on CS6, and uploaded in 4K to youtube.
