I think you have succeeded. Whatever software you used to make it look like oil on canvas works. Print it on canvas and put it on your wall. Really nice shot. I like the texture of the water. Wouldn't it be cool if you could print it on a 3D printer to give the "paint" a realistic relief. Or maybe someone has already solved that problem. I'd be interested to know.

We are currently in Vero Beach Florida. The High School here has a performing Arts center and program that is one of the most significant award winning Orchestra and Jazz Bands in the Country.
They are invited to London this year to perform. We go quite often and always enjoy there talent.
