Recently put up a feeder in my backyard and would appreciate ID and/or confirmation. These are SOOC with a bridge camera through a patio door in backlit conditions (while standing on my head with my shoelaces untied
) so I apologize for the poor quality.
Chickadee, titmouse, no clue?

Downy or Hairy Woodpecker?

Warbler or Sparrow? He was very content in this spot!

Looks like a Junco. Nice pictures
Top is a slate colored junco, sparrow is a song sparrow;have a lot of them here in Western NY

Loc: Florida's East Coast
Juncoes like to eat on the ground, so if you toss some black oil sunflower seeds on the ground you will attract them as well as doves.

Aha! This is a new one for me. Thank you for the ID and nice comment. Appreciate it.
I saw 4 but it could be 5. They seemed to be everywhere. There are divots all over as that side if the yard is under a 70 year old oak tree.

Thank you. I saw him on the ground but it was very fleeting. I will try spreading some feed on the ground. Haven't seen doves yet but I know there here as we here them usually in the front where there is another old oak. Appreciate the info.
It's weird. I look through the photo gallery and always wonder where all these beautiful birds come from. Two weeks with a feeder and I've already seen 3 species I've never seen before. Build it and they will come!
Ralph, glad to hear you're feeding the birds.... great shots and the first is a junco snow bird!!
This is strange, since the snow melted, I haven't had any birds at my feeders in about a week.... they must be all at your house!!

Hi Angela! Beginner's luck?
I was getting antsy after 2 days!
They seem to come for a spell in the morning and then again in the late afternoon. Seems like they avoid the middle of the day. Avoiding hawks maybe?
I've been pleasantly surprised by the variety. I thought all I'd see were some sparrows and maybe a few jays. Saw a few jays but the seem to be too big for this feeder as it swings around a lot. Plenty of cardinals both male and female. Really surprised by the woodpecker.
Thanks for looking. Appreciate the kind words. I'll be retiring in two weeks. It may be time to break out the D200!

Fun shots, Ralph and I love your buddha belly... I'm one of those that love squirrels and buy them peanuts, but the minute the peanuts go out, the jays come in... except for the other day, put the nuts out and still no birds, so the squirrels got to enjoy them all!!
Yeah for you retiring... I'm sure you're counting down the days!! Looking forward to your retirement shots!! Enjoy the rest of the weekend with these high temps!!
Thank you Angela. Appreciate the good wishes! Enjoy!
ps: When I see more birds I'll give you a referral!
