First of all let me say, for 10 years or so, I have used Amazon, and loved everything about doing business with them, EXCEPT on this one deal. I went to sell them a totally perfect Nikon 85mm micro DX, VR lens. I sent them a perfect lens with all the accessories and original box and papers. You could not tell from brand new. They sent it back saying it had light scratches and dust. I called them and they said someone must have made a mistake to resend it back to them. I did. Today I get it back saying it had hard usage. I looked at this lens with a microscope and could not find a single scratch anywhere or anything other than a brand new looking lens. I even checked the glass and found nothing. Am wondering if anyone else ever had a similar problem or any comments. They did give me a $50 credit for my troubles. It also cost them the freight four times. They were supposed to pay me first $296 the first time and $306 the second time. I could get that on Ebay! What do you think is going on? Thanks Bob

I had the exact thing happen to me with a Canon lens. The lens was 2 months old, I couldn't sell it on Craigslist,so I sent to Amazon expecting the maximum amount for it. They credited me with a lesser amount because I had microscopic scratches. Its part of their standard operation I also sold them a camera which was a year old and they did give me the maximum amount for it. No more lenses for Amazon!
