Well - - lets see now -- - Doesn't seem like Norway likes muslims - --
In June 2017, the Norwegian government proposed rules banning female students from wearing full-face veils. Education Minister Torbjorn Roe Isaksen said that in their perspective, full-face veils like the hijab don’t have a place in educational circumstances since they counteract correspondence. The administration is subsequently examining the likelihood of controlling the utilization of such pieces of clothing in childcare focuses, schools and colleges.[38]
The Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg stated in an interview that in Norwegian work environments it is essential to see each other's faces and therefore anyone who insists on wearing a niqab is in practice unemployable. Solberg also views the wearing of the niqab as a challenge to social boundaries in the Norwegian society, a challenge that would be countered by Norway setting boundaries of its own. Solberg also stated that anyone may wear what they wish in their spare time and that her comments applied to professional life but that any immigrant has the obligation to adapt to Norwegian work life and culture.[39]
Healthcare coverage in Norway

The Norwegian health care system has both public and private medical services and facilities, and it is available to all citizens who are registered as long-term residents. Public health care is basically free and is supported by the Government through the tax income scheme, while private sector health care is usually supported by patient fees.

The Norwegian National Insurance Scheme (NIS) guarantees everybody a basic level of welfare and covers regular medical consultation (there is a nominal fee that is paid by the patient), medical emergency and hospitalization. Anyone who is living and working in Norway is required to contribute through the income tax system to the NIS.

If you are unemployed and looking for work in Norway, you should carry an EHIC. This enables you to receive urgent emergency medical treatment free of charge, should you need it. This card is available from UK post offices or Department of Social Security offices.

SO - - If you MOVE to Norway and are NOT self-sufficient within 6 months - - OUT YOU GO - - No Workie, No Stay

And - - OBTW - - if you DO work, your annual TAX RATE is about 44%

Please - - why don't you move THERE ?? Put us all our of your misery. Unwatch.

The average gross and net monthly income in Norway is $5,600 and $4,000 respectively resulting in an average tax payment of $1,600 per month. In the US, the average gross and net monthly income is $4,055 and $3,300 respectively resulting in an average tax payment of $755, which is less than half that of the Norwegian monthly tax payment ($845 less). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_European_countries_by_average_wage

The average monthly student loan payment in the USA is $351. https://studentloanhero.com/student-loan-debt-statistics/

I don’t know about you, but I’d rather pay my own way through college and be done paying for it after 10 years than go for free in Norway and pay for it my whole life.

I think it disingenuous to compare a country with a population of 6 million to the third largest nation in the world. Enough Said.

I think it needs to be said, to keep honesty, that the Norwegians developed North Sea Oil in the 1970s. So they are now a wealthy nation. The utter hell of 1940 - 1945 taught the Norwegians to value one another for had they not many more 10s of thousands would have died at the N**i hand. The one thing that the US citizen has not had to endue is the daily travesty that enemy occupation brings.

I disagree but any comparisons like that need a few caveats. If you are trying to say that just because it works in a country of 6 million doesn't automatically mean it could be implemented successfully here, that is fair enough, but it also doesn't mean it couldn't.

I'm glad we haven't been occupied but many people here would probably think differently about war if we had.

Could be right but Norway is no longer a homogeneous people and we will see how well their system survives the influx of refugees.

I suppose it is true that refugees have moved to Norway, but the numbers are generally unknown. Wonder how many actually follow Norway news on a fairly steady basis. My ancestors came from Kragerø but I don't.
