There are many ways to lie and using statistics is a very popular method. That method of lying becomes even more powerful when we compare things that are not comparable. That's a very popular method used by the Climate H**xters, and you're using it here.

What is YOUR definition of poverty? Not having 3 cars? Not having the very latest curved OLED television? The "poverty" that your statistic refers to in the US (and the rest of the Western World,) is not exactly the poverty that is experienced in the sh*thole countries being discussed. I seriously doubt you have traveled much outside of Maryland and the DC area, but poverty, and I mean, abject poverty is a terrible thing and it is usually enforced on the population by their government, always a l*****t kleptocracy. There have been countless studies done of our "poor" and by and large the vast majority of poor US citizens are much better off than the vast majority of the world. They are also better off than virtually everyone who lived in the US even 40 years ago. Smartphones, computers, HD TVs, A/C, health care, food; you name it.

I think equating our US poor to the really poor people of the world is d********g and you would be ashamed of yourself, if you had a conscience.


Perhaps, but that's not for lack of food; the obesity epidemic encompasses far more of the poor people. The folks who go hungry at night are those on a diet.


What does that even mean? It's just a throwaway statistic with no backup information, no explanation, nothing.
60,000 "drug deaths" a year means nothing. Did you know that medical errors, malpractice, k**l 250,000 people per year? It's the third leading cause of death in the US. You want to use "recreational" drugs? Have at it, when you OD, don't come crying to me.


You mean like genocides such as those in Rwanda, where over a million people were k**led by their machete-wielding neighbors? Like Kosovo, Iraq, Kuwait, Mexico, Sri Lanka, etc...

Or are you talking about the Wor on Drugs, the War on Poverty, the Democrat War on Women, etc?


You may have something there: Oakland, Detroit, Chicago, Baltimore, New Orleans, St-Louis? What do those sh*tholes all have in common? Let me help you with that, they are run by Democrats and have been for decades.


You truly are a d********g person and if you really think America is like that, I would enjoin you to move to Mexico, or Cuba, or El Salvador.

I know everything has a simple answer. Maybe not an easy answer....and that’s where the rub comes in....it’s not fun or easy to do the right thing. It’s a lot easier to say it’s someone else’s fault or someone else’s problem. Getting my car and my life smashed by some careless woman has nothing to do with that. And you’re putting words in my mouth again. When did I ever say that a life means nothing unless in the womb? I’ll save toy the time of looking it up....the answer is never.

Are you confusing my work ethic (and the fact that I expect others to work to fend for themselves) with a lack of compassion, for not “caring”? I donate at least 20% of my income to appropriate charities (whose donations go to those that are the intended recipients). I’d rather I determine where my money goes than allow the government to do it for me.
