Problems with this site ..... Christian Photography Group

According the "Welcome" topic page on this site Sinatraman posts .......
"This group is for Christian photographers to share fellowship, photos that glorify God. Anything from church photos, baptisms, photos of the cross, anything including landscapes that inspire you to think of God. Those who are photographers for their church are especially welcome. Non believers can post photos of churches, religious statues etc. However NO SNARKY COMMENTS. this is not the place to debate the existence of God. Testimonies of what God has done for you or brought you from are always welcome."

In the beginning when I became a member, I saw a number of photos, etc on this site which were Christian oriented and could be stated as giving glory to God and following the instructions above. Lately though I have been extremely disappointed in this site in that I have seen less photos and more debating the existence of the deity, portions of scripture, voyeurism, and other topics by a number of individuals. When reading postings on this site I see "SNARKY COMMENTS", comments degrading Christians, etc and no photos with Christian themes or comments in which Christ would be glorified.

I say lets get back to the basics of this site.....forget the debasing comments and post photos and comments which glorify God and the Trinity. If individuals can't follow the intended purpose of this site, Admin should not post topics or have them removed.

My rant on this site. Have a Happy New Year.

I gotta admit I was tempted into some silly debates here until I recently remembered these words: "Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful." 2 Tim 2:3-5.
God gives us so much beauty and such a magnificent creation of which to photograph why spend precious time arguing?

Glad you see the problems with this site. A fellow that goes by Rongnongno is the greatest troublemaker. Some have been drawn into his psychobabble and only feed his twists and turns. I sought out help from Admin and sinatraman. I did my best to get him blocked from posting on thread but to no avail. I am glad you saw the light and like you I do not join in the senseless debates. God is God and Jesus is Lord. He instructs us not to become embroiled in these things. If I post it will be to honor God not to cuss and discuss Him.
Here is a post by alabamaboy and it really makes your point: I have followed this post from the beginning and not only this post but several others concerning similar topics on the bible, God, etc. posted by this person. I know you mean well but it is fruitless to let this person lead you into an endless circle of answering his questions. He no more wants the truth than the devil wants to be saved. He is full of himself. A god unto himself if you will. Take my advice and do not feed his insatiable quest to confuse, confound and if possible sway you from the truths held dear by every true Christian. His posts have nothing to do with this group. Just read sinatraman's, founder of this group, description of why this group was started and you will see what I mean. This person is what we call a troll. Engage him and you only feed his ostentatious and devious ego. Ignore him and he will fade away when with him we do not play.

I believe, by investigation of his posts, Rongnongno is a devious troll that has invaded this post with psychobabble about our Lord and Savior. I posted a poem I was lead to write which describes the mind set of this type of person:

Antagonize is the goal of the troll,
with bits of half-truths, lies, and
despicable speak he strolls
through the pages of ones mind
only bent on verbal mayhem
with confusion as his aim he gleefully
will claim the utter victory if to him you will
acclaim your differing views and allow him
to remain in your brain; what a shame.
Silence is the bane of the troll
and this he well knows
so when the confrontation arose
the word "Silence" throws the troll
into the pangs of defeat as he well knows.
So goes the troll.

If folks will just ignore him he will go away but sadly some feel they have to straighten him out. This is what he depends on to foment his religious psychobabble. Sorry to ramble on. God Bless.

I believe some of the rants and jaded comments fall into this category. Sure we need to be a bit careful how we respond and I include myself in that. But I for one don't like placing things in a box. So long as there is fruit materializing from the 'rants' I say let it ride.

Totally agree but when someone turns the testimony to a debate I say do not reply, let it die!

Well said and the Bible is never wrong and always relevant. I only wish others could see the fruitlessness of this useless chatter.

Can't people tag contentious arguments and have them moved to the attic where they belong?
I'm participating because I like photography and love Jesus. This is no place for prostelyting OR for bashing.
