The full frame lens should work on any Nikon F mount camera.

Dave,
Lens works perfectly on DX cameras. Provides a range of 36-127.5mm field of view.

Bob, am looking to buy a Nikon d800 camera and I now have a Nikon 105mm defocus and a sigma 50mm lens that are full frame lens, do I really need a 24-85mm lens. Am just getting in to a full frame camera.
Thanks, Dave

Dave-
You don't have anything wider than 50mm, and no coverage between 50 and 105mm. The 24-85 would be a perfect addition to your bag, and it's tack-sharp. Also, check out any other full-frame lenses covering this range as to price----BIG BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!
