Congratulations to all but I love #1 the most in this set. I have veterans in my family past and present.
Congrats to the winner and good job by everyone!

The winner definately deserved 1st place. The description for it was equally superb. Disapointed how many people voted over all. People have put in the hard work but others are not casting votes.
I wonder if other folks did the same thing I did, not realizing my one vote was being divided everytime I looked at new photos after I voted for the first. That would mean lots of others voted for many other photos.
I also loved #1. It was a fine piece of photo journalism in speaking to its viewer.
I don't remember where I saw a complaint against doing any kind of pp for photos on this thread. Hopefully, being able to pp a photo will not change. Being a novice at photography, and keeping my camera on automatic (as suggested by UHH folks), I use pp to help get the photo I see within the photo, using cropping a lot, lightening or darkening here or there; I can't set my camera up yet to get it in a shot. I understand it takes at least 10 years of experience to begin to qualify to become "a photographer." Have downloaded a lot of information from UHH, purchased some great books. joined a camera club, and have a mentor from the club. I am working on it. I admire the photographs from all levels on UHH. We have in common that we love to take photos and love to share.
ALL PHOTOS ARE SPECTICULAR AND LIVING COLOR YOU BROUGHT A CHILL DOWN AND BACK UP MY SPINE
UNTITLED THIS PROVES NOBODY IS FORGOTTEN
IN A SPIN INCREDABLE
RED WHITE AND BLUE IS PERFECT
GREAT JOB YOU ALL DESERVE ACCOOOOLADEEEES

Thank you to everyone who participated and voted! As an update - the first challenge was for fun, but as they progress the rules will be enforced more. Thank you again!
