'Isolation'

I haven't posted here in awhile and decided to do so again.

This was taken on a cold dreary March evening along the Ohio River with the east side of Cincinnati in the background. This woman was all alone gazing into the city, hence the title.

Dave, your posts have been missed. As before, this is another beautifully done photograph, classic composition, nice tonal control, and interesting subject.

Dave - I have also missed your excellent photography. Bob’s (“rmalarz”) comments above are spot on and there is little I can add and nothing I would change about them. Welcome back, sir! /Ralph Wallace

Very poignant. The bare leaves, bitter cold and gray skies combine for a very effective somber mood.

Interesting. The choice of titles..... I wonder how that influences how others “interpret” the photo...add meaning to it. Perhaps some from personal experience? I was thinking “contemplation”.

Thank you for commenting, your title choice “contemplation” would be a good one. I always think the viewer would interpret an image as they see fit. It's not always how I see things, but 'Isolation' was my interpretation and not necessarily from personal experience.

Nice contrast between the person and the architecture. Good job, Dave.
I’m another wondering where you’ve been.

Yes. I was only wondering about the power of suggestion...whether viewers are influenced by titles.

Yes, I understand, if no one mentions being influenced by a title we have no way of knowing. I try to title most, it not all, that I post. Usually, it's based on what I see and what mood I think the image sets. Sometimes I'm totally off base. Thanks again, much appreciated.
