No, thankfully did not have to have that. Next is implant surgery for apnea. Getting old sucks.

Getting old isn't for sissies, but it beats the alternative.

I had bypass surgery 11 years ago. During the surgery, I was put on a heart lung bypass machine. I have had memory loss and fine motor skill loss that has been attributed to the machine.

Wonderful captures! You changed cameras but you certainly haven't forgotten expertise in photography.

I traded in my full frame Nikon equipment for an Olympus OM D E M1 Mark II, mainly because I got tired of schlepping around all that heavy gear, especially after having had a heart attack. This was my first outing with the new camera. The learning curve is steeper than I thought it would be. Any CC greatly appreciated.

Very nice shots. Very appealing to look at.
The Baboon (?) Images. This body hair, Gray, is there noise in is or is that actually the detail of his hair? If it's is noise then my follow up would be why? In the same imagers, but for his face, the image seems very clearar and noise free. This leads me to think that the "black speckles" I am seeing are actual image fine detail. If that is the case, I say BROVO.

Apparently what ever th e learning curve might be you seem to be mastering it.

That is interesting. I was a forensic psychologist and also spent quite a bit of time around "different"
folks. I have a rather jaundiced view of humans, I must say.

You're most welcome. I looked at your bio. If you're at all like me you may prefer the company of various critters over many humans. I am a retired fire deptartmet battalion chief & spent years investigating arsons & various crimes involving fire. I met some rather different individuals. Take care & enjoy your freedom from such responsibilities.

Thank you. I do not think it is noise. I processed the image with Topaz and got the detail from that.
May have overdone it.

Maybe, but I'm in no hurry to try the alternative.

Nice job on the photos. Great composition, sharp, and good control of depth of field.

No I did not mean co-author s t it's overdone. Honestly I have never had a very close look at a baboons hair. It's wonderful that you were able to catch that coloring and make it visible. We humans have selective vision, seeing a very lot but overlooking, sometimes, just as much. Your image was strong enough to overcome that blindness (at least in me) after all photography is an art form and visual art should have an impact of some sort. From where I'm sitting you scored.

I just visited b&h web site and read up on your camera.
I can see now what your referring to as a learning curve. Sounds over my head
