A gripe about repetitiveness

We have all seen thousands of pictures of the moon or egrets or great blue herons. Are we supposed to continue to admire the same old same old. I would like to see, instead of a demonstration of competence with tired subjects, something new in the photo section. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Not my cup of tea either, but some are quite exceptional and I appreciate the skill involved in those.
If I’m not interested in something, I don’t look.
What do you like to shoot?

I would like to shoot what is distinctly my own vision. I haven't found that yet. That's why I would not post; I would not want to be another same old same old.

If we had any cardinals in our area I'd post one for you. The question is what is new under the sun. Is there anything on planet Earth you can think of that hasn't been photographed. It's all in how it's presented. Does it have interesting lighting. Is it in a different setting. A different perspective. Somethin has to be new about it to capture the imagination. Maybe it's just it has to show the beauty of the subject. As male humans, we've all seen millions of images of beautiful women but somehow we never get tired of seeing them. Go figure.

Thank you but I'm from Virginia; I've seen plenty of Cardinals.

Your crusade will remain unheard in griping about other peoples images yet you have no body of work to show yourself.

Maybe we could get a picture of you saxually harassing a Cardinal in the Vatican. That would be different!

Tenor, alto, baritone, even a bass wouldn't matter!

Hey, they apparently moved my start here. I don't know why.

Sorry, no Cardinals here. Not a one. I love seeing their photos and wish I could take my own photos of them.

If I am not interested in a subject, I just do not open the post. It is that easy. If you follow suit, you will not be offended by my egrets and herons.

I'd like to see some photos of dodos in the wild...

I too find it curiously odd that some people are compelled to shoot the exact same subject over and over again, week after week, and never seem to get bored doing so. In at least some cases, it may be due to compulsive repetitive disorder.

No you are not the only one who feels this way. We are all dying to see some of your shots that are something new and not demonstrations of competence with tired subjects.
