Well, once again, procrastination strikes... We made it up to Lost Maples this morning. While checking in, we asked the park receptionist about the best trail to photograph autumn colors on the maples and she informed us that they were pretty much done due to a windstorm, but that the red oaks still had some nice colors. We had fun, but as you can see, the only leaves left on the maples were the stubborn ones. Still, it was a great day, and I couldn't be happier with the new D750!
Guess I need to put a mid-November reminder on the 2018 calendar...

Looks like you still found some beautiful colors. Your images are very nice! I was there nine years ago, but maybe a week earlier in the season.

Thanks, Dave! Yeah, I think we need to shoot for two weeks earlier next year and hope for one less windstorm...
Thanks! My wife spotted the fungus on that particular tree. I didn't see any others, but I have a feeling that it might be pretty common if you were really looking for it.
