When I try to print a form (not photo) on my Canon Pixma 8972 printer it prints a 4X6 image. It's set to 8X10. what can I do to get it to print a page size text. I have tried everything. HELP. It prints a photo proper size but not text.

I'm not familiar with that printer, but the software is probably the problem. There could be another place where the 4X6 is selected. What is the size of the form? It's probably in JPEG format, right?

As an alternative, download Irfanview and print with that. You can adjust the size according to what you see in the Print Preview.

Try going to the Canon site download the driver and reinstall your printer.

I have a similar Canon printer, the Pixma MX922. Here are a few suggestions.
When you tell it to print, the first screen has a box to check "Size". That should say "8.5x11 Inches".
Next, click the box that says "Properties". On the first tab "Quick Setup" verify that "Printer Paper Size" is set to "Letter 8.5"x11" 22x28cm" and that "Paper Source" is set to "Cassette, Cassette position:Lower".
Then click on the next tab "Main". Verify that "Media Type" is "Plain Paper" and that "Paper Source" is set to "Cassette, Cassette position: Lower".
Then click on the next tab "Page Setup". Verify that "Page Size" is set to "Letter 8.5"x11" 22x28cm".
It should not be necessary to check all of these settings every time you print, but it does sound like one of them might have been set incorrectly for you with this document.
I hope this helps.

Thanks guys for the help. Turns out that docs need to be scaled. Page set up is the key. Didn't know you had to do this, it drove me crazy. wasted a ton of paper before I finally got it to print the page the right size.
