Not looking for critiques only sharing some more of my favorites and a short story on each one.

Rhodes Mill was taken after 14" snowfall, it is about 70 miles from my home, the day started off clear and I was just getting over a bad cold but decided to go for the shot. As I got closer the clouds closed in and the winds picked up. I had gone too far to turn back and this was the shot I got. I had to trudge through the snow and walk into the cold north winds and about coughed up a lung afterwards but love this image and had a 24 x 36 metal print made of it. It hangs in my living room now.

The abandoned farm image was made the first week of August. The back side of the home was crushed by the fallen tree. I love the old hay rake in the yard. When I got back from my trip to the badlands the place was leveled with no trace of the buildings. Was looking forward to a winter scene of it. 18-55 f9 Kit Lens on my Nikon D7100

The summer corn field image was taken with a 18-55 @18mm f9 Kit Lens on my Nikon D7100. I liked the rays cast out from the clouds on this one.

Level B sunrise, level B roads in Iowa are very low maintenance and tend to get muddy and impassible after heavy rains. This one caught my attention because of heavy ground fog and the rays from the sun cast to the heavens. Tokina 11-16 @16mm f/8

Really nice, great compositions. Your watermark seems to wander? Try the bottom right corner, the last section of the image that the human eye will be drawn to.

Again...Beautiful! Great shots with a kit lens that is underestimated (or is it the photographer who is underestimated lol) Keep sharing your beautiful pics please!

Excellent examples of Iowa scenery Duane. When I view these, I’m reminded of a conversation I had with my nephew when I first got into photography a few years ago concerning landscapes. We both agreed that to be a landscape photographer in Iowa a person needs to be very creative. We have no oceans or mountains so one needs to look harder for landscapes to photograph. I’ve kept that in mind every time I go out searching the backroads for photo ops. I’ve done a lot of gravel travel in the last few years. Your photos here show that these scenes are out there. Nice work.
