Jedrick they are both beautiful compositions. While I love B&W (ran many a role through my old Nikon F) the blue bird sky of the color is so engaging that it negates any preferences. There is nothing to match the impact that high plains sky, observe it frequently during the winter in the Colorado Rockies.

Very nice. I love coming upon scenes like this. Great location, makes you think about the hard life some of our predecessors lived.
