We were there last week and the color was getting brighter each day. Little slow in coming.

I was the camera shop in Charlotte yesterday and a couple of people who were out shooting over the weekend were saying the colors are not very good this year. To me it seems things have been very slow in changing this Fall. Good luck on your shooting.

Best,
Todd Ferguson

I have gone up to the BRP 2 out of the last 3 weekends and the colors have not been that great. Better now than a couple weeks ago. We really haven't had much rain and the trees are just drying up and it is affecting the leaf colors. Definitely a more dried out brown for a lot of the trees.

Sadly after the fires it will probably take a few more years for the colors to be back to normal due to microscopic soot particles

We were in the Cades Cove area last week through Sunday. There was really good color in some places and bare trees in other areas. Ride around. I am sure you will find gold color in a number of places

You'll have to be more specific than GSM. I was just on the Blue Ridge Parkway a few weeks ago.. Colors were great below 5000 feet to about the 3500 ft mark. Now it's moved down to lower levels as the upper levels drop their leaves. Maybe if you can pin point the area your touring people can help. Soon only the valleys will hold any leaves......http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-492720-1.html
