The peace and silence of a tidal pool is shattered by a breaking wave at dawn at Blowing Rocks, Florida.
I always love going to Blowing Rocks because you get a quiet predawn 1.25 mile walk along the dark beach to reach blowing rocks. It was a bit more adventurous this time as the Hurricane Irma washed much of the beach away and I was forced to rush between waves at a few spots along the walk up to the rocks. Still, it was a beautiful morning. Thanks for looking.

As always, please view as a download. Thanks

Thanks angler. It didn't look like much when I shot it, but it has grown on me as I look at it closer.
I like the reflections and wet sand.

I appreciate you looking.

Thanks for commenting. I just got a little bit wet, sitting on the sand to take the shot. :-)

So glad you liked it. It was fascinating watching the sand suck of the water after each wave washed over the sands. I was really trying to figure out how to capture that. Really glad to hear you say my approach worked.

Love that place, it has been awhile, it looks like they filled up with some sand.

It looks like lots of damage from the storm. Some of the condo staircases were ripped apart and a lot of the beach sand was gone. I used to be able to walk up the beach with lots of sand space but at the southern end there really was almost no beach at all. A lot of the rock formations up closer to the preserve were buried under sand. One thing for certain, the place changes every time I go there. Usually not this much however.
