I have just installed the latest Windows 10 latest fall update, (1709), it was quite quick, less than an hour.
There are quite a lot of new things to discover so I will be busy in the next day or so learning about them. One thing already I like is that I now get notifications from my phone to appear on my PC.
More to come no doubt.
My experience has not been so good. The upgrade eliminated the use of USB 3.0 powered hubs--which I had been using to connect six external hard drives. In my efforts to fix that problem, I did something to corrupt the entire installation. I finally reinstalled Windows 10, but the USB hub problem is still there--and now I have to reinstall all my programs; the tough part is remembering how to install some that are less than happy to work with Windows 10. What a pain! My internal data hard drive mirror is fine and has all of my pictures safe on it (and I still have my external drives, they are just not as convenient).
