At just $86,995, it's a bargain compared with the other overpowered SUVs. Ridiculous.

Cmon Jerry, you’re a car guy. Wouldn’t is be fun to hit 176 mpg in a Land Rover?

It's a joke. What on earth is it for? Off roading at 150 mph? Really?

And the cost of insurance...

They made it because someone will buy it. It pushes the boundaries of vehicle
development and makes all new vehicles more interesting. Pushing the envelope
is in most peoples blood and it just takes different forms. Think of all the things
we would not have accomplished if everyone just said that's ridiculous. We never would
have gone to the moon, designed a plane, a submarine, a film camera or dslr!

I would hate to be on the same road as a teenager driving a 500+ HP car.

It's not a case of need. You don't need a whole lot of power or a big engine to go fast. Heck, my 1.2 litre RX7 could hit 150.
Just think of the size of the tree stumps that jeep could rip out of the ground.

But it would take more than 10 seconds to get there.

To add another layer here, yes it has a ton of horsepower but is also quite heavy
probably pushing 5500 lbs. There are small turbo'd cars modified now to
easily hit 400 hp, and weigh 2400 lbs. Horsepower to weight ratio is where
"fast" is and there's a ton of cars out there now, driven by kids with
a better ratio than even the Hellcats!

As much power as it has the wheel base is still too short to pull a trailer that's very long. At least that's what my Jeep service manager told me about my 343 h.p. Grand Cherokee.

Wouldn’t mind having one in my garage. Rumor is that Ford is coming out with a GT 350 Mustang in 2019 with a reported 800+ horsepower. Would love to take that one for a spin around the block too.

Somebody has to burn all that gas, or diesel. Can you imagine sitting behind that behemoth in traffic, looking at the 4 inch tailpipe, knowing you are getting their fumes? too often I get behind a big huge pickup with their 5.7 liter diesel, only to have it fog me with black smoke when it pulls away.

It is for those with lots of pocket change who want you to know how much they have.
