Trump has been sued by people whom he has blocked on Twitter - they claim that this is illegal because it is blocking them from government communications. Trump's attorneys just argued that his Tweets are NOT a government function. That means that for every Tweet in which he lies about someone, he can now be sued for libel! He is protected from civil litigation only for acts performed as part of his p**********l duties! I was so happy to read this... So when he makes stupid untrue claims about Obama or anyone else - wow! Think of the damages - he doesn't HAVE that much money!

THe problem is that to sue someone for libel, you must show damages --- you have to prove that the lie actually cost you money. This is nearly an impossible standard, which is why very few libel cases in the US succeed. The UK doesn't have that requirement, which is why you often see American filing slander cases on UK courts.
Trump has often said he wants to remove that requirement on US libel laws. Now, THAT would have him screwed.

Trump dose shoot from the hip with some or his comments. But he dose love this country and he surly don't need the money. Hillary on the other hand is in everything for the money. The Donald will speak anywhere for free. Hillary wont go anywhere unless they show her how much she can take home. The lib press will never say anything against the bag lady. I think that the pres uses twitter to inform some people who don't read the newspaper and only get the news from social media to find out what is going on. I for one do not use social media and i don't do twitter.
